Думаю, что Novell Client не является очень популярным программным обеспечением, но недавно была задача автоматизировать установку - решил об этом написать.
Для тех, кто просто интересуется Novell Client - это программа клиент которая может подключаться к серверу Netware на котором размещаются ресурсы делегированные соответствующим учетным записям а это например: Сетевые диски или принтеры
С появлением Windows Server, актуальность Novell на некоторых компьютерах оказалось под вопросом.
Однако, клиент еще можно встретить на недоменных и доменных компьютерах.
Скачиваем клиент с официального сайта.
Я рассмотрю дистрибутив - любезно предоставленный мне от коллег, а именно
Novell Client 2 SP4 for Windows
Exe файл представляет из себя самораспаковывающийся ZIP архив, который при запуске предлагает распаковать дистрибутив в папку.
Начнем подготовку к автоматизации установки:
1) Распакуйте дистрибутив в папку предварительно сняв галочку When done unzipping open .\setup.exe
2) В папке с дистрибутивом найдите файл Install.ini. Откройте данный файл блокнотом и поправьте строки:
DisplayLanguageSelection=No
DisplayInitialDialog=No
DefaultLanguageSelection=RUSSKI - Здесь указал русский язык в файле есть параметры и для других языков
DisplayLicenseAgreement=No
DisplayInitialDialog=No
DisplayBackground=No
ForceReboot=No
DisplayRebootDialog=No
DisplayUpgradeDialog=No
DisplayUpdateDialog=No
Сохраните файл.
3) Найдите тестовый компьютер или установите на своем компьютере Novell Client c параметрами:
setup.exe /NCPF:Install.ini
При установке программного обеспечения отобразится окно безопасности Windows с предложением установить драйвера. Обязательно поставьте галочку "Всегда доверять программному обеспечению Novell" без этого не установиться сертификат для драйвера, а он нам будет нужен.
Нажмите кнопку установить и дождитесь окончания установки.
4) Для тихой установки осталось разобраться с окном установки неподписанного драйвера. Для этого необходимо найти сертификат. Зайдите в оснастку Сертификаты (Пуск -> Выполнить "или Win+R" -> certmgr.msc). В оснастке сертификаты перейдите в Доверенные издатели - Сертификаты. Найдите сертификат Novell,Inc
Экспортируйте сертификат в папку с дистрибутивом.
5) Для импорта сертификата в тихом режиме потребуется утилита certutil встроенная в ос Windows 7. Если вы еще пользуетесь Windows xp, то необходимо скачать windows 2003 admin tool pack в котором он есть данная утилита.
6) В сценарий установки, перед установкой novell client добавьте строчки для импорта сертификата -
certutil -addstore TrustedPublisher "путь до файла сертификата\имя сертификата"
7) Пример сценария для установки:
certutil -addstore TrustedPublisher "%~dp0Novell.cer"
start /wait %~dp0setup.exe /NCPF:Install.ini
Вот и все. Такая небольшая программа, но есть нюансы установки. Если у вас используется Novell и вы хотите поставить его автоматизированно и на много компьютеров думаю, что статья пригодиться.

With the advent of Windows server, the relevance of Novell on some computers has been questioned. However, the client can still be found on non-domain and domain computers.
Download the client from the official site.
I will review the distribution-kindly provided to me by colleagues, namely Novell Client 2 SP4 for Windows
Exe file is a self extracting ZIP file which when executed provides unzip the distribution into a folder.
1) Unpack the distribution to a folder of pre-clearing the box next to When done unzipping open .\setup.exe
2) Find the Install.ini file in the distribution folder. Open this file with Notepad and correct the lines:
DisplayLanguageSelection=No
DisplayInitialDialog=No
DefaultLanguageSelection=English - Here indicated English language in the file there are settings for other languages
DisplayLicenseAgreement=No
DisplayInitialDialog=No
DisplayBackground=No
ForceReboot=No
DisplayRebootDialog=No
DisplayUpgradeDialog=No
DisplayUpdateDialog=No
Save the file.
3) Locate the test computer or install the Novell Client with parameters on your computer
setup.exe / NCPF:Install.ini
When you install the software, a Windows security window appears with a prompt
install the driver. Be sure to check the "Always trust software from Novell"
the certificate for the driver will not be installed, and we will need it. Hit the install button. Wait for the installation to finish.
4) For a quiet installation, it remains to deal with the unsigned driver installation window.
For it needs to find the certificate. Go to the Certificates snap-in (start - > Run - > certmgr.msc)
In the certificates snap - in, go to Trusted publishers - Сertificates. Locate the certificate of Novell,Inc
Export the certificate to the distribution folder.
5) For import the certificate in silent mode, you will need the certutil utility built into Windows 7.
If you are still using Windows xp you need to download windows 2003 admin tool pack in which it is this utility.
6) In the installation script, before installing novell client, add lines to import the certificate -
certutil-addstore TrustedPublisher " path to certificate file\certificate name"
7) As an example of the script to install:
certutil-addstore TrustedPublisher "%~dp0Novell.cer"
start / wait %~dp0setup.exe / NCPF:Install.ini
That's all.
Such a small program, but there are nuances of installation. If you use Novell and you want to put it automatedand on a lot of computers I think that the article is useful.
